Fungus

Fungus is a type of skin condition that occurs and develops on moist, wet and sweaty areas of the body. Fungus is also a contagious skin condition. In addition, fungi can cause itching, skin discoloration and swelling. The first measure in the prevention of fungus is the application of basic hygiene conditions. Since fungi are contagious, underwear, clothes, socks, shoes and personal care items should not be shared as much as possible.

Fungus Diagnosis and Treatment

The diagnosis of fungus is made mainly after visual examination. In addition, some fungal complaints may be detected by ultraviolet rays or as a result of pathological tests. It should not be forgotten that fungi are seen in unhygienic and humid areas and the area with fungus should be kept clean and dry. In line with the recommendations of your doctor, drying the fungus with antifungal creams and medicines is also among the treatment methods.

Eczema

Eczema is a disease that can occur due to many reasons. The most obvious ones among these are genetic factors, intense stress and weather conditions. Contrary to the popular misconception that eczema is contagious, eczema is not a contagious skin condition. It may also appear as itching, redness and swelling. Eczema is more common in children than adults. There are types such as atopic eczema, contact eczema, seborrheic eczema, and dyshidrotic eczema.

Eczema Diagnosis and Treatment

Diagnosis is usually made on symptoms and as a result of visual examination. The area with eczema should be protected and never itchy. Since the skin area with eczema is sensitive, care should be taken to protect it against foreign materials and chemicals. In addition to these, although it is possible to treat with medication or cream, these treatments and drugs may differ according to the type of eczema. Although cortisone-effective drugs used in the treatment of eczema are quite effective, they also have side effects. For this reason, it is very important that such drugs are taken under the control of a specialist physician.

Psoriasis

Although the exact cause of psoriasis is not known, it is known that it is determined by genetic factors. Psoriasis, which is seen in most people today, is the production of antigens on the skin, the activation of the immune system by the antigens produced, and the formation of plaques on the skin by the new cells formed as a result. As the symptoms of psoriasis can be seen in every part of the body, usually; It is more common in the knees, elbows, hands, scalp and genital area. In addition to these, it can also be seen on the nails and can cause the nails to thicken.

Psoriasis Diagnosis and Treatment

The diagnosis of psoriasis is usually made after a visual examination. However, in some suspicious cases, biopsy is taken and the diagnosis is finalized as a result of laboratory tests. For treatment, moisturizing cream can be applied to the areas where psoriasis lesions are seen first. In addition, phototherapy (ultraviolet B, ultraviolet light) and drugs containing cortisone are among the treatment methods. Finally, it has been proven by scientific research that the psychological basis of psoriasis is found. The patient's psychological treatment and belief that he will overcome the disease yield positive results.

Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic Dermatitis is a type of skin condition that is not known exactly for what reason, but many factors are effective. However, it is thought that two factors take precedence over the others. First, the body produces more oil than necessary, and the second is the Malassezia type of fungus as a result of the body's natural production of oils called sebum. Although it can be seen in many parts of the body, it is a disorder that often develops on the scalp. It causes complaints such as itching, flaking and shedding. Seborrheic Dermatitis is common in babies after birth. Although it is not completely treatable, it is a disease that can be controlled to a great extent, and it is not contagious.

Seborrheic Dermatitis Diagnosis and Treatment

There is no definitive treatment for Seborrheic Dermatitis. In addition, cortisone-containing drugs are used. However, since their long-term use causes significant side effects; It should be used in the advanced stages of the disease under the advice and follow-up of a specialist physician. In addition, the disease can be controlled by using shampoo and cream-like materials recommended by your doctor.

Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic Dermatitis, also known as allergic eczema, is a type of disorder that usually occurs in infancy and childhood. It can be defined as a genetic predisposition to allergic reactions. In Atopic Dermatitis disorders, the moisture content of the skin is below what it should be congenitally. Sensitization to allergens is often developed through food and air (inhalation). In the early stages of childhood, allergic reactions are observed through this food, and in later ages, airborne reactions such as dust and pollen are observed. Consumption of tobacco products and alcohol-like substances during pregnancy by expectant mothers increases the risk of their children to have Atopic Dermatitis.

Atopic Dermatitis Diagnosis and Treatment

The main determinants in the diagnosis of Atopic Dermatitis are; pruritus, chronic and recurrent dermatitis, personal and genetic history of atopy. There are basically three types of treatment for allergic eczema. Drug therapy, moisturizing the skin, preventive measures.

Wart

Warts are often skin-colored, raised and hard skin conditions. Warts are contagious, it is known that they can be transmitted mostly by sexual contact, as well as by other forms of contact. Warts are caused by a virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Warts usually occur on wet and moist body areas. After a certain incubation period of HPV virus, its symptoms occur by the method of mass formation.

Wart Diagnosis and Treatment

Since the shapes and appearances of warts are clear, the diagnosis can be made mostly as a result of visual treatment. In addition, the result of the smear test in women can also occur by chance. The main goal in the treatment phase is to lose the appearance of warts on the skin. It can take months or even years for the HPV virus to be eliminated from the body. In addition, drugs and creams are the most used methods in the treatment of warts. Today, vaccines have also been developed for the HPV virus. You can have these vaccines with your doctor's approval.

Skin Tags (Epithelial Polyps)

Skin Tags also called mole are protruding parts of the skin that are darker than the skin and higher than the skin. More than one reason can play a role in the emergence of skin moles. Hormones, rapid and sudden weight changes, stress and overloading the immune system are just some of the reasons that cause skin moles. Although moles can appear all over the body, they are seen in areas where sweat glands are more concentrated, such as the neck, back and armpits. There are basically 2 methods used in the treatment of moles. The first of these is the surgical method. In this method, moles are removed from the skin surface by applying anesthesia and incision. However, in this method, there is a possibility of scarring after incision and stitching. A second method is the laser method. Melanocytes that make up the moles are targeted in laser removal of moles. Molanocytes that are darker than the skin color absorb the laser beams and disperse at high temperatures. The basic logic in laser mole treatment is that the melanocytes that make up the moles are dispersed, making them lose their prominence and the treatment is provided. In addition, which moles can or cannot be treated is determined under the control of a specialist physician. If deemed necessary, biopsy is taken and examination is performed. As a result, the treatment process is put into practice.

Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis can be briefly defined as an allergen response resulting from contact. Contact dermatitis should not be confused with contact urticaria. Unlike dermatitis, in urticaria, there is a reaction of the immune system to the object or substance that comes into contact with it. In contact dermatitis, symptoms take a relatively long time to appear. However, contact dermatitis may occur in 1 to 2 minutes, or it may take several hours. Contact dermatitis can occur as an allergic and non-allergic reaction. It is itching or shedding in the contact area that can occur in contact dermatitis. The healing process in contact dermatitis can also differ. It usually goes away on the same day, but it can take up to 1 month. The main symptoms of contact dermatitis are:

♦ Redness

♦ Itching

♦ Rash

♦ Dry skin

♦ Bloating

♦ Combustion

♦ Dryness on the skin

In the treatment of contact dermatitis, it is necessary to first determine which substance the person develops this reaction against and to avoid contact with this substance. Generally, your specialist physician may ask you to have a patch test for this determination. Except those; Disinfecting and washing the skin after contact, not scratching, applying cold compresses, and wearing clothes that will not irritate your skin also facilitate healing in this process. Finally, in line with the advice of your doctor, creams containing cortisone, anti-itch creams or lotions with other ingredients can be effective.

Callus

Calluses can be defined as the skin's self-defense and development mechanism, which is formed as a result of pressure and friction applied to the skin repeatedly. Although it can occur all over the body, calluses, which are mostly seen on the hands and feet, can cause problems both aesthetically and in daily life. Calluses formed on the feet are generally the primary factors affecting the formation of calluses, which is the wrong choice of shoes, that is, shoes that are narrow and not compatible with foot orthopedics. In the same way, calluses on the hands can occur in a person who uses his hands a lot in his daily life. Diagnosis of callus is usually a simple procedure. Calluses can occur with or without pain. Painful calluses require treatment. Calluses are usually a harmless skin disease. In addition, during the diagnosis process, the physician may scrape a piece of calloused surface in order to distinguish it from the wart. In addition to surgical methods for treatment, pumice stones or creams are used. However, the use of laser in the treatment of calluses can be very effective. In the callus treatment process with Fractional Laser, the callus is completely treated by using laser beams.

However, these pimples have a fundamental structural difference from other pimples. This difference is not found in black spot rose disease. There is no clear cause for rosacea. For this reason, the best form of protection is to keep the face as far away from irritating objects as possible and to ensure cleanliness with care. In the diagnosis of rosacea, it can occur in the examination of a specialist physician without the need for any research. In very rare cases, biopsy may be required.
